4-Night, 5-Day Educational Trip Itinerary for DPS School**

Day 1: Arrival & Introduction to the Ecozone
- **Morning:**
  - Arrive at **Sunshine Himalayan Cottage** in Tirthan Valley. Welcome drinks and a brief introduction to the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP).
  - Check-in and settle into your rooms.

- Afternoon:
  - **Orientation session** on the importance of eco-conservation and the significance of GHNP.

  - Begin your **eco-volunteering experience** with a fun riverside clean-up drive, learning about waste management and the ecozone’s preservation efforts.

- Evening:
  - Return to the cottage for relaxation.
  - Bonfire and **interactive cultural session** with local villagers, learning about traditional Himalayan folk art and sustainability practices.

Day 2: Trekking to Choie Waterfall & Adventure Activities**
- Morning:
  - Start your day with an early **yoga and meditation session** amidst nature.
  - Post-breakfast, embark on a **Trek to Choie Waterfall**, guided by an expert on local flora and fauna. Observe the unique biodiversity of the Great Himalayan National Park along the way.

- **Afternoon:**
  - Enjoy a packed lunch near the waterfall.
  - Participate in **team-building activities** and engage in an educational session on biodiversity conservation in this UNESCO ecozone.

- **Evening:**
  - Return to the cottage.

Day 3: Rappelling, Volunteering in Sarchi Village & Unique Session on Drug Abuse**
- Morning:
  - After breakfast, students will enjoy a thrilling morning of **rappelling** down a natural rock face, under the supervision of trained guides. Learn the basics of this adventure sport while appreciating the scenic views of the Tirthan River valley.

Afternoon:
 Visit **Sarchi Village**, a serene and traditional Himalayan village.
  - Participate in **volunteering activities** such as tree-planting or creating eco-friendly compost systems.
  - Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local homestay, followed by an immersive walk through the village to learn about sustainable living practices and the rich culture of the community.

- **Evening: Unique Session on Drug Abuse and Its Consequences**
  - **Interactive Workshop on Drug Abuse Awareness**:
    - Led by a former drug addiction counselor, students will participate in an engaging session on the dangers of drug abuse, addiction, and its social, emotional, and physical consequences.
    - **Personal Stories of Recovery**: A guest speaker will share a personal journey of addiction and recovery, discussing how drug abuse impacted their life and how they overcame it.
    - **Interactive Discussion**: Students will have the chance to ask questions and discuss ways to prevent drug abuse, manage peer pressure, and seek help when needed.
    - **Team Activity**: Students will create posters or skits promoting drug-free living, raising awareness on the importance of mental and physical well-being.


Day 4: Trek to the Great Himalayan National Park & Camping**
- **Morning:
  - After breakfast, prepare for an exciting day as you trek into the heart of the **Great Himalayan National Park** (GHNP), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With expert guides, hike through dense forests, meadows, and pristine landscapes while learning about the park’s ecosystems and wildlife conservation efforts.

- **Afternoon:**
  - Arrive at your designated campsite and set up tents.
  - Participate in a **camping skills workshop**, including tent pitching, wilderness cooking, and fire safety, while practicing eco-friendly camping techniques.
  - Enjoy a packed lunch amidst the stunning views of the mountains.

- **Evening:**
  - Gather around the campfire for a **storytelling session**, where guides and locals share tales of the wildlife and conservation efforts of the region.

Day 5: Return from Camping & Departure**

  - Certificates for participation in eco-volunteering, adventure activities, and the drug abuse awareness workshop will be distributed.

- **Evening:**
  - Check-out and depart, taking home valuable life lessons and memories from an unforgettable experience.
